  • 4 large canned peach halves
  • 1 cup medium rum
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 lime


Serve this when your main dish has been cooked in the oven. Put peaches cup side up in a flat baking dish. In each put 1/2 tablespoon of honey, a good squeeze of lime juice and pour rum over all. Heat slowly in the oven while eating dinner. Just before serving, turn over, baste and put under broiler for two minutes or until light brown. Prepare canned pears exactly as above, adding a sprinkle of nutmeg.

Serves 4.
