4 large onions

4 slices toasted French bread

2 tablespoons butter

2 cans beef consommé

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese



Slice onions very thin and brown lightly in butter. Add consommé and cook about 15 minutes. Place toast in heated individual mini casserole dishes, pour in soup and sprinkle with cheese.

Serves 4.
